“Ghosts” chase Syrian war criminals at the Cannes Film Festival
I am Um Shahin, I am in the program "Moed Feek" where we review the highlights of the 7th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Today we will be discussing the movie "Mad Max: Fury Road", the new installment of the Australian sci-fi action series about a fierce warrior's long revenge story against the mad leader of a group of barbaric motorcyclists in a post-apocalyptic world. The film features amazing war scenes and car chases in the desert, leaving the audience enthralled by its magic and brutality. Also, we will talk about the French movie "Les Déferlantes" which will be screened at Cannes next week. This ghost story follows a young Syrian man fleeing the war in Syria and escaping to Europe with a secret group of Syrian activists and craftsmen chasing war criminals. It's difficult to talk about these movies as they are very impactful and touch upon sensitive issues, especially the reality of what is happening in Syria. The audience is drawn in by the raw emotions and powerful performances, making them reflect on the harsh realities depicted on screen. Stay tuned for more updates and reviews on upcoming films at the Cannes Film Festival.
